How Technology Will Keep Surprising People Today

new technologyYou found my technology site! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It’s totally amazing how much technology continues to shape how we life and how we do things. I like it. So what has technology done for us?

What Technology Has Caused…

It’s amazing in how many areas technology has changed things. Just by checking history, you’ll notice the many inventions that have lead to new ways of living for many. Nobody could have known for sure that we would now be using mobiles, computers, gps systems etc. What would the phrase “sending a text” mean 50 years ago? Nothing! And there are many more examples.

If you like PC games, you won’t have failed to notice the advance of graphics. Geforce and ATI have raised bar after bar when it comes to graphical excellence. New chipsets make games simply stunning to see. But how about the good ol’ tv: do you have blu-ray discs yet? Fancy a 3D movie at home? It’s all possible.

Or technology on the web: Web 2. 0 is the new technology and design standard for world wide web. It facilitates communication, secure information sharing, interoperability and collaboration among web data and websites. It has facilitated the development of various social networking, online video sharing sites and blogs.

And do you own a digital camera? Or a camcorder? These things are fantastic aren’t they? They used to large clumsy things, but nowadays you can get tiny digital camcorders that are not only excellent quality but are also pretty affordable. You don’t need to be a pro any more to make amazing movies or photographs.

Many of you will own a Kindle today right? I mean, who would have thought that we didn’t need books any longer. We can just take our portable reading device, sit in the park or the bus or anywhere you want, and read whatever you want. And what about other portable stuff like iPods and iPads? Amazing stuff.

But how about life-saving technology in the medical world? Where would we be today without brain scanners, x-ray machines, heart pumps, breathing machines and more. This is where technology really shines.

We can go on and on, and I would if I had the chance but I just wanted to make you aware of how amazing technology has been so far. In fact, if I can help it, I’d buy the latest gadgets myself with Christmas every year!

The Top Five Things About the Samsung Galaxy Ace

The Samsung Galaxy Ace has been one of the most popular midrange smartphones in 2011, and a surprise hit for Samsung. Although not as feature rich, the Galaxy Ace has almost come as close in popularity as the Galaxy S2, with a large number of mobile phone contracts being sold for this mini Galaxy device.

So what are the five things that make the Ace a phone to be reckoned with?

Stylish

The Samsung Galaxy Ace is a pretty device – in fact it is one of the prettiest in the whole of the mid-range phone sphere. Its mix of aluminium and rubber ensures that it is attractive and also strong and durable. These are must have features on the phone and this device has them with abundance. We also liked the style. The slim bezel and the nice screen and iPhone like style all come together to ensure this is one for the style conscious.

Browsing

The phone has also a notable good phone browsing ability for its size and the 800MHz processor, nice screen and the 7.2Mbps HSDPA connection mean it is fast and also capable of being a great internet friendly phone. The device offers excellent zoom features and is very intuitive and is one of the best petite touchscreens for web browsing.

Camera

For a phone of its size and its price a 5mp camera is not a bad option. This device has a great flasher with a nice video feature. It can record or take stills to a good level and for a sub £250 device is very handy to use on the move. We were very impressed with the speed of the shutter and would recommend it for its snapping ability.

Screen

Thought the screen is not a 4.3in AMOLED god, it is still quite good. The Ace has an LCD screen of 3.5inches in size and it does a good job of making the most of this with its zoom in features as well as many others. This screen is good for browsing and zooming in. Its touch abilities are good and it is quite capable of displaying most video at a decent rate considering its 320x480p count.

Memory

The phone is also capable of holding up to 32GB of data, meaning you have a large amount of music and media at your disposal to be played on the capable Android 2.2 players. This memory and its expandable ability is welcomed and ensures the device is a capable multimedia contender, especially due to the addition of DLNA Wi-Fi.
